20 April 2023

09:00 - 11:30 (UTC/GMT +01:00 - Europe / Brussels)

Registrations are closed

Initiated by the European Commission, DG REGIO, this workshop is a part of the Programme of exchanges in the EU Outermost Regions project that has been launched in December 2021. The objective of the project is to provide evidence-based analysis of existing initiatives in the outermost regions on climate adaptation, organise workshops of exchanges of good practices and solutions and based on this to provide a compendium of good practices and solutions of climate change adaptation.

This workshop will deal with water management adaptation and protection of water resources from climate change impacts. It will provide a space for actors to discuss the thematic and exchange new ideas, based on what has been achieved until now.

The presentations and discussions will be framed around the following considerations: relevance of the initiatives, tangible results, innovative approaches in relation to the process and/or results achieved, and the potential for transferability and replicability of successes in the wider sea basin and beyond.

This event will take place online on 20 April 2023 and will take into consideration the different time zones of the concerned regions:

09:00-11:30 CEST

10:00-12:30 - Mayotte

11:00-13:30 – Reunion Island

Interpretation will be provided in French and English during the event.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event!

Please submit your registration by Tuesday 18 April 2023.
