About the European Video Games Society

Launched by the European Commission, the EVGS aims to develop a thorough understanding of the video games sector in the EU and its impact on a range of policy areas (such as economic, educational, social, cultural, and financial), and point out opportunities for collaboration between the industry and the public sector.

About this workshop

The aim of the workshop is to identify existing and desirable initiatives, such as policy actions and interventions, to support and promote the video games industry. Overall, it seeks to gather stakeholder input to support the validation of the research undertaken to date as part of the EVGS project and to inform the development of policy recommendations, with a focus on EU level policymaking. While the workshop aims at gathering valuable input for the research, it will also provide an opportunity to strengthen our collaboration with the video games community, allowing participants to express their opinions, share their views, and influence the development of future policies for the video games sector in Europe.
