EU Citizens’ Gathering on 11 July 2025
Our annual EU Citizens’ Gathering is organised in partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Manchester University and the Consulate of Spain in Manchester.
As in previous years, we aim to bring together EU embassies, EU and UK politicians and civil servants, experts, academics and civil society to discuss pertinent issues, develop joint actions and connect in pursuit of strengthening the EU citizens’ networks in the UK.

Speakers and Agenda
Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester will be opening the Gathering. Several EU and UK politicians will be present.
The day will be a blend of networking, talks and workshops, moderated by Emma Nelson. You will:
- Hear from politicians, NGOs and community organisations about how EU citizens in the UK they shape the future for EU-UK relations
- Discover how to empower regional leaders and NGOs to foster the integration and inclusion of EU communities
- Discuss how you can contribute to shaping the narrative about EU citizens and migration in the UK
- Learn about the experiences of EU communities in the UK and find out how this community could look like in the future
This in an invitation only event. A number of travel and accommodation grants will be available for those coming from outside Greater Manchester area.
